You can open the home page and begin a video call without creating an account. There is no profile page to complete and no photo to upload before your first conversation.
Camera blur
Blur applies a strong real-time blur to your own camera feed. The call stays connected and your video keeps moving — the other person simply cannot make out your face or surroundings. Turn it off instantly when you feel comfortable.
Face effects and masks
Face effects track your face in real time and sit over your video. Beyond being fun, they cover enough of your features to make you less identifiable, and your choice is remembered as your default for future calls.
Shedo IDs instead of phone numbers
If you want to stay in touch, share a Shedo ID rather than a phone number or social handle. Messages stay inside Shedo Chat and are removed from our servers automatically after 60 days.
What anonymity does not cover
Community rules still apply to anonymous calls. Abuse, nudity and scams are moderated and reported sessions are reviewed, so anonymity is a privacy feature — not a way to avoid the rules.
When an account helps
Creating an account is optional, but it lets you keep private messages, save matching preferences, follow Rooms, and manage Premium.

- Does the other person see my name?
- Only what you choose to share. There is no automatic display of personal contact details.
