Community Safety Rules
Shedo Chat is intended for adult users and is designed for real-time communication and video conversations. Being an adult does not permit sexual or explicit content on the platform.
Nudity, sexually explicit content, sexual solicitation, harassment, scams, illegal activity, and abusive behavior are prohibited.
You are meeting strangers. Never share your full name, address, financial details or accounts. Leave any conversation that feels wrong — skipping is instant and always free.
18+ only
Shedo Chat is for adults. A self-reported date of birth is required at sign-up (it is not independently verified), and accounts suspected of belonging to minors are removed immediately.
No nudity or sexual content
Automated moderation samples video and audio. Violations end the call and can ban the account.
No harassment or hate
Threats, slurs and targeted abuse are never allowed.
No spam, scams or bots
Links, advertising and automated behaviour are detected and rate-limited.
Report anything wrong
Every call has a one-tap report. Reports are reviewed by moderators.
Strictly prohibited
The following are prohibited everywhere on Shedo Chat — video, messages, groups, Memories and Rooms:
- Human trafficking and sex trafficking
- Sexual exploitation, or facilitating, encouraging, aiding or abetting abuse or exploitation
- Sexual violence and sexual assault
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), including revenge pornography or intimate images shared without consent
- Illegal sexual services and the solicitation of illegal sexual services
- Nudity, sexually explicit content and sexual solicitation
- Harassment, sexual harassment, threats, stalking and coercion
- Exploitation of minors, or any sexual content involving minors
- Scams, fraud and financial exploitation
- Sharing another person's sensitive personal information without consent
- Recording, screenshotting or redistributing other users without their consent
- Hate-based abuse, impersonation, spam, bots and automated activity
- Any other illegal activity
Violations can end a session immediately and lead to suspension or a permanent ban. Where required, we report to law enforcement.
Location & VPN handling
Country matching uses several signals together — IP geolocation, network and ASN reputation, known VPN/proxy/Tor ranges, and timezone and language consistency. No system detects every VPN, so we score each connection instead of claiming certainty. Connections we can't place confidently are labelled uncertain and are excluded from country-filtered matching rather than being silently trusted.
Reporting and enforcement
Reports create a moderation record tied to the session. Serious categories can disconnect a session automatically and restrict the account pending review. Blocking a person prevents you from ever being matched with them again.
