Looking for a OmiTV alternative? Phone browser experience.
OmiTV alternative searches mostly come from phones. This page is about how Shedo Chat behaves on a small screen, because that is where most random video chat actually happens. Shedo Chat is an independent random video chat platform. It has no affiliation, partnership or endorsement relationship with OmiTV, and OmiTV is a trademark of its respective owner, referenced here only so you can compare.
Layout on a phone
The two video feeds stack vertically at equal size so both faces stay readable, and controls sit in a single row within thumb reach. Nothing requires horizontal scrolling.
Layout on a bigger screen
On tablets in landscape, laptops and desktops the two feeds sit side by side at equal size instead of one being shrunk into a corner.
Browser or app
Everything works in a mobile browser. The Android app is optional and shares the same account, Premium status and features.
Interruptions
Incoming calls, screen locks and app switching are handled without leaving a dead session behind; frozen peers are detected and closed so you can move on.
Battery and data
Video quality adapts to your connection, and turning off video while keeping audio is an easy way to make a long conversation cheaper on data.
Common questions
- Do I need to install anything on my phone?
- No. The mobile browser version is complete; the Android app is a convenience.
- Why do the feeds stack instead of overlapping?
- Stacked equal-size feeds keep both faces usable on a narrow screen; overlapping shrinks one person into a thumbnail.
- Is Shedo Chat connected to OmiTV?
- No. Shedo Chat is built and run independently. There is no affiliation, partnership or endorsement between Shedo Chat and OmiTV; the name appears here only for comparison.
