Looking for a Monkey alternative? An adults-only alternative.
Monkey alternative searches frequently come from people who want quick, casual video conversations. Shedo Chat offers that format, with one clear difference worth stating up front: it is an adults-only platform. Shedo Chat is an independent random video chat platform. It has no affiliation, partnership or endorsement relationship with Monkey, and Monkey is a trademark of its respective owner, referenced here only so you can compare.
Adults-only, stated clearly
Shedo Chat is not built for teenagers and does not want teenage users. This is written into the community guidelines and enforced through moderation and reporting.
Short conversations by design
The format is built around quick calls and easy skipping, so nothing is lost by leaving early and nobody is expected to commit to a long conversation.
Ways to keep it light
In-call games — trivia, Would You Rather, Two Truths and a Lie and others — give an easy start when neither person knows what to say. Free users get a daily allowance; Premium removes the limit.
Privacy while you warm up
Blur and face effects let you take part before you feel like showing a clear picture of yourself, and both can be set before matching.
Where conversations can continue
Shedo IDs let two people continue in private messages, and audio Rooms give a group setting when a one-on-one feels too direct.
