Looking for a Chatrandom alternative? Preferences and filters.
People searching for a Chatrandom alternative usually care about who they get matched with. This page explains exactly what Shedo Chat lets you influence, what it does not, and which parts are free. Shedo Chat is an independent random video chat platform. It has no affiliation, partnership or endorsement relationship with Chatrandom, and Chatrandom is a trademark of its respective owner, referenced here only so you can compare.
What you can influence for free
Interests are free. Add a few topics and the queue prefers people who chose something in common, which changes the character of conversations more than most people expect.
What Premium preferences add
Premium adds matching preferences such as country. It is a subscription, not a per-minute charge, and it never becomes necessary to have an ordinary conversation.
What no platform can promise
Matching is limited by who is actually online at that moment. Narrow preferences mean longer waits, so it is honest to expect a trade-off between specificity and speed rather than an instant perfect match.
Changing your mind mid-session
Interests and preferences can be edited between calls without losing your place, and your face effect and blur settings carry across.
Free versus paid, plainly
Random matching, skipping, in-call text, blur and the full regular face-effect set are free. Premium covers matching preferences and unlimited plays in the in-call games.
